We are moving

After more than 30 years, the medical practice at 64 The Mall West Heidelberg will close on 29th December, 2023. We want to express our gratitude for your support throughout this period.

Dr. Chong and Dr. Owen are relocating to Heidelberg West Medical Clinic at 15 The Mall, West Heidelberg. They will be available for consultations at Heidelberg West Medical from the 3rd January 2024.

All our medical records will be transferred to Heidelberg West Medical in mid December 2023 and we hope our patients will choose to continue their care at our new location.

If you prefer to switch to another doctor, please inform reception and we will organise for your file to be transferred to your new doctor/practice.

COVID-19

If you have fever, flu symptoms or think you have coronavirus please call our receptionists, if possible stay at home or in your car and DO NOT enter the waiting room. West Heidelberg Medical Centre is implementing social distancing and trying to avoid large numbers of patients in the waiting room.

Doctors are offering phone consults to existing patients. We can offer sick certificates, referral letters, prescriptions and pathology forms without you having to come into the Clinic. All our patients will be bulk billed. We can only offer new patients phone consultations when we are in a situation of lockdown.

We are now offering Pfizer COVID-19 vaccinations for adults. To book an appointment, you will need to telephone the surgery on 9459 5400. Flu vaccinations will be available at the surgery either late March or early April 2023, dates to be confirmed.

Our Doctors

Our doctors are highly experienced and on the Vocational Register of General Practitioners.

We offer a wide range of general practice services including women's health, paediatrics, family health, family planning, and geriatrics.

To ensure a continuity of care, patient's are encouraged to see the same doctor on each occasion whenever possible.

Appointments

You can make an appointment with your doctor by calling 9459 5400. Urgent problems will be dealt with as promptly as possible.

Appointments are normally made at 15 minute intervals, so you can usually expect to spend 10-15 minutes with your doctor but if you feel you will require a longer consultation, please discuss this with the receptionist prior to making an appointment.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, we would be grateful if you would inform us as soon as possible.
